Bristol and Parrish Law is a bi-coastal law firm in that it has offices on the West Coast of Florida in Tampa and the East Coast of Florida in Brevard County. Our attorneys, however, represent clients in state and federal courts throughout the state of Florida. We represent both businesses and individuals on the plaintiff and defendant sides.

Our Services

Bristol and Parrish focuses on civil and commercial litigation. Within those two broad categories we have experience with a wide range of cases. If you have a legal issue that may involve litigation, we probably can help. If we cannot, we will try to find you an attorney who can. Our goal is to give you the best legal advice available. Sometimes the best advice is to use another attorney. Though we are general civil litigators, we have some practice areas where we have a great deal of experience and expertise: admiralty, ERISA, and insurance coverage. Admiralty

B&P has 40 years of admiralty and maritime law experience. Mr. Parrish got his start in admiralty in Holland & Knight’s Tampa office. In the 24 years he spent there, he headed the office’s admiralty litigation practice. While there, Mr. Parrish handled pretty much every type of admiralty claim there is, in rem arrests, Rule B attachments, limitation of liability actions, regulatory matters, collisions, allisions, maritime contract disputes, cargo claims, seaman’s and longshoremen’s claims, maritime insurance claims, etc.

ERISA

B&P has almost 40 years of experience in ERISA litigation, having first become involved in that area in 1986. ERISA (the Employee Income Security Act of 1974), is a federal law governing employment benefits other than wages and salaries. That usually translates into employer provided healthcare benefits, disability benefits and pension benefits, but can also involve other matters. At B&P we handle the full range of ERISA litigation, including health insurance claims when your insurer and/or employer refuses to cover a medical procedure, disability claims when your insurer and/or employer denies your disability claim, or disputes concerning whether you are entitled to a pension or the amount to which you are entitled.

Disability

B&P’s experience with disability claims goes back almost 40 years. Mr. Parrish began handling disability claims for insurance companies and large corporations in 1986. After a couple of decades of representing insurance companies and large corporations, he decided to start representing the people suffering from a disability against the insurance companies and large corporations.

Insurance Coverage

B&P has decades of experience in a broad range of insurance coverage matters. It has represented individuals, small businesses, large businesses, government bodies, professional sports teams, and even insurance companies (yes, even insurance companies purchase insurance) in claims for insurance coverage.
