B&P has 40 years of admiralty and maritime law experience. Mr. Parrish got his start in admiralty in Holland & Knight’s Tampa office. In the 24 years he spent there, he headed the office’s admiralty litigation practice. While there, Mr. Parrish handled pretty much every type of admiralty claim there is, in rem arrests, Rule B attachments, limitation of liability actions, regulatory matters, collisions, allisions, maritime contract disputes, cargo claims, seaman’s and longshoremen’s claims, maritime insurance claims, etc. He has represented ship owners, shipyards, marine suppliers, ports, marine insurers, cargo owners, ship’s agents, yacht owners, and individuals. Mr. Parrish has handled everything from large, complex matters to dealing with OSHA complaints (and keeping them from turning into large, complex matters). To sum up, H&P has as much experience in admiralty and maritime matters as any attorneys in Florida. As a small firm with lower overhead than the large law firms, we can do everything the large firms can do at a lower cost. We provide large firm experience in a smaller, less expensive package
As is our practice here, we do not charge for initial consultations or answering questions. So, if you think you might have an admiralty matter, don’t hesitate to call. We mention that because admiralty law is a very specialized legal area and even a lot of attorneys do not know when admiralty law applies.
